Moviegoers looking for Christmas at box office

No new movies managed to break into the top five at the weekend box office, leaving Four Christmases (Tribute rating: 3.43), starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, on top for the second weekend in a row, earning an additional $18.2 million for a two-week total of $71 million (all figures U.S.). Climbing back up a spot was the runaway vampire teen hit, Twilight (Tribute rating: 3.92), which was pushed to third last week but wound up in second with $13.2 million for a three week total of $139 million. The animated film Bolt (Tribute rating: 4.48) went from second to third, earning an additional $9.7 million, while Australia (Tribute rating: 3.96) also climbed a spot from fifth to fourth, taking in $7 million for a two week total of $31 million. Quantum of Solace (Tribute rating: 3.02) rounded out the top five with $6.6 million for a four-week total of $151 million. Punisher: War Zone earned only $4 million at the box office, ensuring that there likely will be no more punishment in the form of any more sequels.

mediocrity, unfortunately at best, for a “blockbuster” Christmas

    What, no Nacho Libre 2????
No remake of From Justin to Kelly????
No Boxed Best of Steven Segal???
    ha ha on to 2009….

Well, I’m sure all of the above are more entertaining than the television shows they throw at us on a weekly basis. There are just some really stupid shows nowadays. Take that show, ‘The Office’ for instance…I’d rather watch Friday The 13th part 3,000,000!!! 😛
