Natasha Richardson critically injured in Montreal ski accident

British actress Natasha Richardson, 45, was rushed to a Montreal hospital Monday following a skiing accident at Mont Tremblant. Richardson, the wife of Liam Neeson and the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave, suffered a serious head trauma and is considered to be in critical condition. At the time of the accident Neeson was in Toronto filming his new movie Chloe, but upon hearing the news, immediately flew to his wife’s side. Michelle Simard, a spokeswoman for the Hopital du Sacre-Coeur, said the actress was transferred to an undisclosed location in the United States at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. A member of Richardson’s family, who spoke to the BBC but has asked not to be named, said the whole family was “very distressed.” Neeson and Richardson have been married since 1994 and have two sons, Michael, 13 and Daniel, 12, who were with Richardson when the accident occurred.
