Netflix Canada Holiday House opened this morning for a press preview at Campbell House Museum on Queen Street in Toronto before opening to the public this afternoon. It started with a hot chocolate booth, complete with marshmallows and/or crushed peppermint and tiny doughnuts! Then once inside, you’re greeted by gigantic festive nutcrackers and a Netflix Christmas tree.

There are plenty of displays and you can get a card of holiday specials and movies that are featuring on Netflix this month so you can check them off as you watch them later at home. On the ground floor, there’s an ornament making room with plenty of selections for you to make one with bells, stencils, ribbons, markers, Christmas and Hannukah stickers and more. We made ours from wooden discs that turned out beautifully — there were so many designs to choose from!

Downstairs in the kitchen area, where you’ll find the large fireplace with a brick oven, was a huge table with plates and plates of iced sugar cookies. There was also a table devoted to candy and chocolate for you to choose and put in a candy bag for later.

Across the way, there’s a room for little ones to write letters to Santa and/or color pages of Christmas designs. There’s even a Polar Post Office for them to put their letters in once they’re finished.

On the top floor is the Winter Wonderland room, filled with lights and Christmas trees, reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis. There were also a number of bean bag chairs covered with white fluffy blankets to sit down on and watch the light show.
