New Moon has record advance sales

Robert Pattinson at the L.A. premiere November 16Cineplex Entertainment announced yesterday that The Twilight Saga: New Moon has already set a record, selling $1.5 million in advance sales.  The previous record for advance sales was $1 million, earned by the last year’s Twilight. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart attended the Los Angeles premiere on Monday, and there will be Twilight actors on the red carpet at the first Canadian showing on Thursday at the Winter Garden Theatre as well — Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) and Justin Chon (Eric). Although it opens Friday, many Canadian theaters are screening the film at 10 p.m. on Thursday.
