New movies in theaters – Disney’s Snow White and more

Fans have been waiting for the release of Disney’s new live-action Snow White and it’s finally here. Also opening across the country is The Alto Knights, starring Robert De Niro. Debuting in select cities are a number of new movies and shows, including a concert and live theater. Disney’s Snow White – Jealous of Snow White’s (Rachel Zegler) beauty, a wicked queen (Gal Gadot) orders her murder. Later, she discovers that the huntsman who was supposed to get rid of Snow White let her escape. She’s still alive, living in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Also available in IMAX. The Alto Knights – Two of New York’s most notorious organized crime bosses, Frank Costello (Robert De Niro) and Vito Genovese (Robert De Niro), vie for control of the city’s streets. Imagine Dragons: Live from the Hollywood Bowl – Globally renowned, Grammy Award-winning band Imagine Dragons enlisted the LA Film Orchestra to perform their biggest hits and new chart-topping songs against the backdrop of the iconic Hollywood Bowl. During a nearly two-hour concert, the band fuses their explosive sound with symphonic arrangements played on stage by over 50 musicians. Plays March 26 and 29 in select cities. Princess Mononoke 4K IMAX Exclusive – Inflicted with a deadly curse, the young warrior Ashitaka heads west in search of a cure. There, he stumbles into a bitter conflict between Lady Eboshi, the proud people of Iron Town, and the enigmatic Princess Mononoke, a young girl raised by wolves, who will stop at nothing to prevent the humans from destroying her home and the forest spirits and animal gods who live there. National Theatre Live: Dr. Strangelove – Seven-time BAFTA Award-winner Steve Coogan plays four roles in the world premiere stage adaptation of this explosively funny satire about a rogue U.S General who triggers a nuclear attack. Playing March 27 and 30. Click here for showtimes.
