New movies in theaters – Se7en 30th anniversary, Vermiglio

Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt in Se7enThis may be a light weekend for new movies due to all the films that came out during the holidays, but there are two releasing this Friday that look interesting, including one re-release in IMAX. Se7en: 30th Anniversary – Experience David Fincher‘s timeless thriller Se7eN in IMAX for the first time. Two police officers (Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman) track a brilliant and elusive killer who orchestrates a string of horrific murders, each kill targeting a practitioner of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Vermiglio – A family living in the small, mountainous village of Vermiglio during the waning days of WWII, experiences a series of dramatic, consequential events after the arrival of a Sicilian soldier (Giuseppe De Domenico), who hides out in town after deserting the army. While there, the soldier falls for the family’s eldest daughter, Lucia (Martina Scrinzi). In Italian with English subtitles. Playing in select cities. Click here for showtimes.
