New Movies in Theaters – The Greatest Showman and more

There’s a great selection of movies opening this week just in time for the holiday season! For music lovers, the Golden Globe-nominated The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman is an uplifting experience, while the singing Barden Bellas are back for a third installment in Pitch Perfect 3. For those of you looking for a laugh, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action comedy Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, while Downsizing stars Matt Damon as a man who opts to be made smaller in a crazy world when you can be shrunk to five inches.

The Greatest Showman – Hugh Jackman stars in this musical about how the famous P.T. Barnum envisions a way to bring the world “The Greatest Show on Earth.” With plenty of catchy music, a heartwarming story and entertaining circus acts, this movie is perfect for the whole family. Click here for showtimes. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – Four teenagers are transformed into avatars when they get sucked into the Jumanji game they found in a retro game console in the school basement. Now they have to fight the dangers of the jungle if they want to get out of the game alive. Click here for showtimes.

Downsizing – Scientists develop technology to shrink humans permanently to five inches in an effort to combat global over-population. Paul (Matt Damon) and his wife Audrey (Kristen Wiig) decide to undergo the procedure. Father Figures – When brothers Kyle (Owen Wilson) and Peter (Ed Helms) discover their mother Helen made up the story about their father dying, they set out on a road trip to find him.
