New movies in theaters this week – The Batman and Jockey!

Check them out and watch the trailers to decide what will be your moviegoing experience this weekend. ~Alexandra Heilbron

The Batman – When a man is killed, his face is duct taped with the message “no more lies” written on the tape. A greeting card written in riddles is left at the crime scene for Batman (Robert Pattinson). As more crimes take place, more letters are left for Batman. Edward Nashton a.k.a. The Riddler (Paul Dano) is behind bars, but as it turns out, he’s still bringing havoc to the city of Gotham. To combat the evil brought on by The Riddler and Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Bruce Wayne heads down a path of vengeance. Opening across Canada. Click here for showtimes.

Jockey – Seasoned horse jockey Jackson (Clifton Collins Jr.) is facing what could be his last season as his health deteriorates. With the help of Ruth (Molly Parker) and a promising new horse, Jackson prepares for the upcoming championship. His plans take a turn when a budding young jockey (Moises Arias) shows up and claims to be his son. Opening in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Click here for showtimes.
