New movies in theaters – Venom: Let There Be Carnage & more!

Check out the trailers below to decide what to watch in in theaters this weekend. From Andy Serkis’ Venom: Let There Be Carnage starring Tom Hardy, the animated sequel The Addams Family 2, to The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to the award-winning television show The Sopranos, kick off your October off on the right foot as we head into the Halloween season. ~Sean Olegario

Venom: Let There Be Carnage – A year after the events of the first movie, journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) goes to interview serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who surprises him with a quick bite that draws blood. On Kasady’s execution bed, Eddie’s blood, which contains a portion of the symbiote Venom, comes to life and bonds with Kasady. The new evil entity dubs itself Carnage and begins to unleash havoc on San Francisco, with only Eddie and Venom capable of stopping this new threat. Click here for showtimes.

The Addams Family 2 – In the sequel to 2019’s The Addams Family, the Addams get involved in hilarious run-ins with all sorts of unsuspecting characters. When Wednesday (Chloë Grace Moretz) expresses that she doesn’t fit in with the rest of the family, her father Gomez (Oscar Isaac) decides to take the family on a road trip. The vacation finds them experiencing the wondrous sights of Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. However, hot on their heels is a mysterious man looking to expose the dangers this family poses. The Many Saints of Newark – This prequel to the groundbreaking, award-winning HBO drama series “The Sopranos” is set in the explosive 1960s in the era of the Newark riots, when the African American and Italian communities are often at each other’s throats. But among the gangsters within each group, the dangerous rivalry becomes especially lethal. Click here for showtimes.

Mayday – A hotel worker finds herself transported to another world where a war is raging and a clutch of young women lure men to their deaths at sea via radio transmissions. She soon realizes she’s not the killer they want her to be. Playing in select cities. Click here for showtimes.

Titane – A young girl named Alexia is severely injured in a car crash. Her life is saved when the doctors are able to implant a titanium plate in her skull. Following the accident, Alexia (Agathe Rousselle) becomes fascinated by automobiles and works as an exotic dancer in a nightclub dedicated to the glory of the automobile, where her lascivious bodywork dances have made her an underground idol.
