New on DVD – Furious 7, Cinderella and more!

It’s mid-September, which means the nights are getting colder. Instead of “Netflix and chill” how about grabbing one of the new DVDs hitting the shelves today?

All you fast-car, adrenaline-lovin’ fans will be happy to know that Furious 7 is now available to add to your collection. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Jordana Brewster are back with even more insane stunts. There are also a few new and exciting faces in town to shake things up for the Fast family: Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham all make their presence known. You’re sure to believe in fairy tales again with this live-action retelling of Cinderella starring Lily James as Ella, Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother and Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden as Prince Charming. The imagery is stunning and the fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham Carter) outdoes herself with Ella’s ballgown and shoes.

If you love animals and documentaries, add Monkey Kingdom to your collection. In the troupe hierarchy, Maya, a toque macaque, is at the bottom and trying to survive with her son.

If you’re all about “Good Vibrations,” let Love & Mercy take you on a journey through the life of Beach Boys co-founder and member, Brian Wilson, through the ’60s and ’80s.

Finally, let’s end things off with some comedy. Dan Landsman (Jack Black) is planning his high school’s 20th reunion in The D Train. Having never been popular, he tries to convince Mr. Popularity, Oliver Lawless (James Marsden), to show up with him.
