New on DVD: Hot Pursuit, Unfriended and more

Hot PursuitComing out on DVD this week are a few titles sure to keep you busy. Highlighting this week’s releases are Hot Pursuit, Unfriended and more.

In Hot Pursuit, Officer Cooper (Reese Witherspoon) is a by-the-book cop. When she is sent to transport the widow (Sofia Vergara) of a drug lord,  the two quickly learn that they are being set up by the police and targeted by assassins. The two women, who don’t get along, will have to work together to evade the assassins and clear their names.

Unfriended is the story of  Laura Barns (Heather Sossaman), who kills herself after being bullied and tormented online by her peers. Her suicide is recorded on video and posted online for the world to see. A year later her Skype account starts messaging her friends demanding to know who posted the video online. When all her friends claim innocence, terrifying things begin to happen.

Far From the Madding Crowd is the story of Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan) who considers herself to be above everyone else. She views no man as good enough. She has three suitors whom she eventually gives herself a chance to fall in love with and must decide who is really right for her.

Suite Française takes place in 1940 France during WWII. Lucille Angellier (Michelle Williams) is a young French woman waiting for her husband to return from war. She lives with her mother-in-law Madame Angellier (Kristin Scott Thomas). The pair must contend with German commander Bruno von Falk (Matthias Schoenaerts), who’s been assigned to their home. Complications arise when Lucille beings to develop feelings for Bruno.
