TGIF! That means the weekend is almost here, offering plenty of relaxation, free time and new movies! If you’re thinking about seeing a movie this weekend, you can choose a wild trip to Mars, Mexico, China or England, but whatever you do, we’re sure you’ll enjoy the ride.
Opening Canada-wide, in the movie The Martian, NASA astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon, pictured at left) is impaled by an antenna during a fierce dust storm on Mars, which destroys his suit’s bio-monitor computer. His crewmates assume he is dead and leave him behind. Turns out he’s alive and now he has to figure out how to survive with few supplies, not to mention figure out a way to contact Earth and let them know he is still alive.
