The Bucket List starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson debuted in the top spot at the weekend box office, earning $19.5 million (all figures US). Another new release, First Sunday starring Ice Cube, opened in second place with $19 million. Juno dropped a spot to third, taking in $14 million for a total take of $71 million, while National Treasure: Book of Secrets was pushed from first to fourth place, grossing $11.5 million. Rounding out the top five was Alvin and the Chipmunks, earning $9.1 million for a total take of $187.3 million.
Poor Alvin – now in fifth place. I hope they still feed him something, anything, even peanuts now that his movie is no longer number one.
I hope he had a good agent and lawyer who made sure he’s getting a cut from the gross dollars earned and not the net dollars earned. Those studios have a way of fudging the “net” numbers with fabricated items that eat up profits so poor Alvin and his fellow ‘chippies’ might not get their fair share.
Chipmunks everywhere – unite!
I’m going to see THE BUCKET LIST if it’s the last thing I do.
Me too! It sounds really good.
So then….this…is your BUCKET LIST….right???
What’s on your Bucket List?
To carry water in it!!!! (better than peeing in it!!)
To get indoor plumbing….so I can throw the bucket away!! Hee hee!
Do you mean you don’t have an outhouse; just the bucket? I know they say Canada is heading towards third-world status but I didn’t know we were there yet!!!!!
The bucket is inside. IT’S TOO DAMN COLD TO RUN OUT TO THE SH*THOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!!! LMFAO
