Next Twilight film may lose cast members

Although the release date for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been set for November 18, 2011, not all the cast members have agreed to appear in it. It’s almost certain that the movie will be in two parts, and Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner have been given huge raises to return, but a source says that Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, and Ashley Greene, who plays the pivotal role of Alice Cullen (both pictured at left), may not be back for the final films. The two have asked for significant raises because the first two Twilight films have generated millions of dollars for Summit Entertainment, which produces the films. However, Summit is unwilling to grant them the money and is threatening to replace them. They quickly replaced the role of Victoria when Canadian actress Rachelle Lefevre had a scheduling conflict during filming of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, a decision that left a lot of fans fuming. What do you think, would you be able to accept other actors in these roles? Or should Summit show some appreciation and give all the actors a raise, not just the three leads? [Poll=181]

Losing Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz would be very upsetting. Alice is an important character in Breaking Dawn in many ways. Emmett just wouldn’t be Emmett.

If the lead actors deserve to be given raises based on the money brought into the Saga, then every other actor deserves to be given a raise of equal percentage. If Robert Pattinson gets a 20% raise, then so should the rest.

This situation is in no way similar to the one with Rachelle Lafevre. Lefevre had scheduling conflicts that arose after she had already signed the Twilight Saga contracts. Lutz and Greene are asking for raises that they deserve, there is no evidence of conflicts in schedules or anything similar.

I think the casting change will disrupt the flow. I am not sure, having read the novels and now have a face to the characters would I be able to enjoy the film. I am not sure if the raise demands are unreasonable or not, however, in short I believe the actors should be compensated accordingly. I dont feel that they should be compensated as well as the leads, but compensated in ratio with the others. It would be sad to see them replaced, and most likely, I will just wait for it to be on PPV,

considering the amount of money the twilight films have already made for summit entertainment, theres no reason these 2 shouldnt get the raise they are asking for. if they change alice and emmet, i wont even bother wasting my time watching the movies. why pay to see a movie when the actors/actresses in it arent being paid properly when summit is making so much money off of these films? i will not spend my money on the last 2 films if they get recast.

If they change the characters of Alice and Emmett they might as well not film it because no one will come and see it if they replace them. Ashley and Kellan are just as important as Kristen and Robert. If they are not in the movie then it will not be the twilight we know and love.

Hook up? A Twilight cast support group? 😛

If I was Stephenie Meyer I’d be pi**ed at Summit for not coming to some kind of agreement with the original cast on how to divide the million$$$, and in keeping with the integrity/spirit of the original story/author.

No way!! they should give them raises not just the three main stars. They all deserve a little bit more after doing a good job and the movie is a big success so if they changed the two characters then that would ruin the movie.

This seems so unfair to me as Alice and Emmett are so perfect in their roles and so familiar to all of us who have read the books. I agree that the 3 main characters should be offered substantial raises however I feel the other 6 should also be offered SUBSTANTIAL raises as they play an important role during the “breaking dawn” story.
