Nicki Minaj video banned from BET

If you’ve heard Nicki Minaj’s new single “Stupid H*e”, you probably weren’t expecting to see the video on television anytime soon. TMZ is reporting that Minaj’s new video has been banned from airing on the BET network. BET sources have not been forthcoming with their reasoning, mentioning only that it’s too explicit (lyrically and visually) for their audience. Nicki is known for her risqué rhymes, costumes and performances, but this video might be pushing the limit. The song’s chorus has Minaj repeating “Stupid H*e” numerous several times while dancing around half naked and she even disses Jennifer Aniston in the first verse. The official music video was released on her VEVO account on January 20th and has over 20 million views so far.

I don’t blame them – aside from the song being very profane it’s really really bad… maybe they are trying to keep nice and saying that the lyrics are too explicit is better than saying the song blows.. either way, whatever it takes to keep the sounds of screaming cats, I mean Nicki Minaj off the airwaves

just took a look at it on youtube now. didnt understand a word (probably because i’m white). looks just like something gaga would do,so whats the big deal? horrible, cheesy video with zero sex appeal. good luck deciphering the lyrics.

I’m not a fan of lady gaga or nicki mknaj but if lady gaga videos get played than nicki’s bad video should too. This song is a diss to lil Kim, didn’t know there was a shot at Jennifer Anniston. Probably BC I stopped playing it after few seconds of this garbage song or was it the bad video

Great marketing stunt. That video already has 21million views. Pretty good for a incredibly cr*ppy song (even by Nicki’s standards)

This is genius for Nicki’s publicity people. Get the video banned…then everyone will flock to find out what allt he fuss is over and BAM…you’re in the news!
