Nicolas Cage suspected of child abuse

Nicolas Cage is suspected of child abuse after allegedly dropping his five-year-old son when he was arrested on April 15 in New Orleans on charges of domestic violence, disturbing the peace and public intoxication. A police report says that Cage’s wife, Alice, told police that Cage fell while holding Kal-El. He was allegedly drunk at the time, and the fall caused a minor abrasion to the boy’s left knee. However, a witness told police that he saw “Mr. Cage pull the male child to the ground by his hand.” A child abuse detective was notified and wanted to interview Kal-El but Alice refused to allow it, although she did give consent for a photograph to be taken. The child abuse detective decided no further action was needed, but a Child Protective Service representative may still be contacted, in which case a full investigation could be launched.

Regular people do much worst then that and the best they can achieve is making an apisode of COPS. Hey Nicolas, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?

Naming your son Kal-El! I know he likes Superman but that’s borderline child abuse.

TheTruth on April 26, 2011 1:44 PM i agree. people are always out for money or fame and its disgusting. if nic were to abuse his child, im sure this wouldnt be the first thing that happened to the child and im sure this wouldnt be the first time we were hearing about it.

    Germain on April 26, 2011 2:21 PM ahaha. 😛 😀

Germain on April 26, 2011 2:22 PM i have no idea why these celebs always feel the need to name their kids things that are “unique” if thats really the word we want to go with. are they looking for attention? i understand that they want their kids to be different, but these poor kids have to suffer from these names until they are legally allowed to change them. also, what chance of a normal life do these kids have? if they were put in school with regular children, EVERYONE would know who that childs parents are just by the ridiculous names they give them. there would be no privacy, no chance at safety and probably a lot of disruption in the classroom once the parents told the kids.

RJ on April 26, 2011 7:03 PM hmmm, sounds like stereotyping to me

“but these poor kids have to suffer from these names until they are legally allowed to change them.”

I’ve never heard of any celebrities change their names when they grew up. I rather like his name. Got a nice ring to it! I AGREE WITH YOU though. That Poor daughter who’s name is Apple! I shake my head in Disbelief. I hope she doesn’t get teased a lot though.

Rita on April 27, 2011 6:34 AM thats part of my point, i just forgot to include it. people with names that arent “normal” are teased a lot and will more than likely grow up with a lot of problems because of it. and i know, right? if you like apples thats one thing…to name a living, breathing person it is a completely different thing. what are some of the strange names some celebs have grown up with? the ones i have heard of all seem to be pretty normal names.

Rita, I believe one or both of Dweezil and Moon Unit Zappa changed his/her name upon reaching the age of majority.

David Bowie’s son, who went by the name Zowie Bowie when he was a child, is now called Duncan Jones.

Actually, amazingly, all the Zappa kids kept their names. There’s Ahmet and Diva in addition to Moon and Dweezil.

What About Nikki Sixx’s son named “Gunner Sixx”! Cool name but he’s never going unoticed:) Steve Vai’s son is named “Fire Vai” … ohhhhh The HUMANITY!!!.

Thanks for the correction Andrea. I looked it up and it seems that Dweezil wasn’t his legal birth name but that is what he was called; when he found out it wasn’t his legal name he changed it to Dweezil. I guess I heard the story backwards (though it was back in the 70’s when I heard it)

His son’s name is Kal-el? Wow! Superman huh? And wow, his wife is really hot. About him on child abuse, I don’t really know about that because seeing as how he carries his son, it looks like he even loves him.
