Nicole Kidman wishes her kids lived with her

Nicole Kidman wishes the two children she adopted with Tom Cruise lived with her. However, after their 2001 divorce, Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15, decided to live with Cruise instead. Tom married Kate Holmes in 2006 and shortly afterwards, the children began calling her ‘Mom.’ Kidman told the UK edition of Hello! magazine that although she’s disappointed and misses them, she chose not to fight for custody, saying, “They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?” Kidman is now married to country star Keith Urban and their daughter, Sunday Rose, was born just over two years ago. Nicole admitted that she feels blessed to have a child: ‘It’s a beautiful thing at 43 to have a two and half year old!’

Tom can’t be as bad or as crazy as everyone says if the kids chose him instead of their mom.

but atleast shes handling like a true mother. good for her. to be so understanding and be reasonable. to give the kids and tom space without wanting to be in control of every little thing like most celebrities.

Maybe the impressionable kids were sucked into Tom’s religion and that’s why they chose to live with him. It happens.

Does she at least get to visit them?

I’m sure Tom is a good dad and from the sounds of things Nicole might not care a whole big deal about her adopted kids. She took on that responsibility but didn’t even fight for them?? What kind of a mother wouldn’t fight? Anyway we as the public will never fully know because we aren’t involved. Meh.

I don’t agree with ‘C-Dub’. I feel that it was more likely that Isabella and Connor may have been “sucked into” Tom’s religion, as they were just young teens when Tom & Nicole separated. I’m sure that she cared about them, but thought better of “fighting” Tom in court for their custody. I also feel, that she is a very good Mother, I’m sure, and she has made a happy and good home with Keith & Sunday Rose. More power to her! BIG fan!!

What about YOUR “religion”, Sue. Or, are kids just able to make any kind of choice for themselves?

I would be put out though if my children started calling their stepmom mom. It feels like I have been replaced. Nicole you should have fought for custody maybe they think you just didn’t care about them anymore. And maybe Tom threatened Nicole. Who knows?

Just wondering if you have any communication with your 2 children.
    Yes they are almost adults.
Have never really heard much about them which is unusual for “celebs”

Of course she cared C-Dub, if you read the line saying They live with Tom, which was their choice. Id love them to live with us, but what can you do?. she let them make the decision, fighting for them when they had made up there mind to live with their father would have only made things worse, and created a lot of negativity for the future.

at 18 and 15 surely (unless otherwise challenged which these 2 kids appear not) they have a choice/opinion and good for Nicole for listening…

so they all them both “mom”…so what?

    sucked into Tom’s religion? please…

When you think about it, isn’t it weird how Suri is in every page of a tabolid but these two aren’t? Along with the days when they were talking about Tom and Kate. Where were those two? Somehow in the land of celebities they have been a bit forgotten and we most likly wouldn’t be talking about them if Nicole didn’t say. “I miss my children but I know they are happy with there dad and I have my little one I love as well”
