Nicole Richie and Joel Madden marry with elephant

Nicole Richie, 29, and Joel Madden, 31, of the rock band Good Charlotte, were married on Saturday at the Beverly Hills estate of Nicole’s father, Lionel Richie. The couple have been together for four years and have two children — daughter Harlow, 2 and 15-month-old son Sparrow — together.  About 150 family and friends were invited to the ceremony. Richie wore a wedding dress by Marchesa, and the rings were by jeweler Neil Lane, who also designed Richie’s four-carat engagement ring. “They’re going all-out with the decor.” a source told People magazine. “Nicole wanted a memorable, elegant affair for only their closest friends and family on their special day.” Guests included Madden’s twin brother Benji Madden, Sam Ronson and Gwen Stefani. A trained elephant was brought in as entertainment for the guests.

Best wishes to them – they seem like a good match.

Yeah, I hope they will. It seems no one does these days. I’m guessing they’re not fans of Peta if they brought in a “trained” (i.e. beaten regularly) elephant to entertain the people.
