Waif-like Nicole Richie has been spotted with a baby bump. Life and Style Weekly magazine says the reality star has undergone a series of pregnancy tests that confirm she’s carrying a baby. A source told the mag: “Nicole recently underwent a series of tests, including blood and urine screenings, which confirmed she is pregnant.” Richie, meanwhile, is waiting to find out if her DUI arrest last December is going to land her a jail term, like her buddy Paris Hilton. Meanwhile, she’s reportedly on a special diet to make sure her baby is healthy.
Does she think having a baby is going to make all her problems go away? This is just one more bad example to send to teenage girls.
These people have all kinds of money, but no common sense and you can’t shop for that on Rodeo drive.
If this is true i just hope that she puts on some weight to be able to carry a healthy baby to term.

Instead of bitching about some rich celeb who can actually afford to have a child, and give it a wonderful life…Go to your local welfare office, and watch all the women going in there, fending off the government and needing to pick up food stamps for their children.

When I was a kid, we used to say “first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes ____ with a baby carriage”. Having a baby “out of wedlock” was a shameful fact that celebrities hid. How times have changed! Maybe she thinks pregnancy will keep her out of jail?
I think it’s wrong what Jacqui said. Having a baby thinking that it will keep her out of jail????? WHAT KIND OF COMMENT IS THAT?? That’s like saying that women who are incarcerated and are pregnant get a ” Get out of jail free” card. This isn’t game. Her child will be born in a loving home regardless of what happens to her. That just makes me sick when people talk like that.
I just hope that she grows up for the well being of her child. I think that is the only important issue.

Katherine: Are you saying you’re not important?? You’re reading the comments and I’m sure you are important to the people who love you!!! Having this dialogue can be beneficial. Nicole is a person like all of us and she wants to be happy. However, sadly, it is evident that like many other celebs, she is floundering…looking for love in all the wrong places. The best thing she could give her baby is to be in love with the father and actually plan to make a REAL home where the child can grow up with parents that love each other. That would truly be an amazing gift to her unborn child.

Reality check. Who really cares what Nicole Richie really does anyway? I mean what right do we have to even talk about her as if she were a part of our lives. She isn’t out there doing much of anything that should concern the rest of us because after all it is her life and however she chooses to live it won’t affect most us in any real away other than in the media…so really if people didn’t take so much morbid interest in gossip, maybe her and her child might have a bit more “normal” a life without somone constantly monitoring her every move and reporting it to the rest of us like a prison guard with a prisoner. Hmmm…reminds me of that saying those in glass houses shouldn’t….

First, I agree with those who say that Nicole is old enough to make her own decisions. Secondly, I agree with Chel, better a person with money have a baby at a decent age then all these under 20’s who are just babies themselves. They don’t know how to care for a child. Just watch them on a bus or in malls with their friends talking about the “guys” they’re sleeping with and letting their kids scream because they’re too busy to actually give the child the attention it deserves. And no, that doesn’t mean that they have to pick the child up every time it yells, but learn to respect the childs needs over your own.
As for needing two parents, thats a lot of crap. Many children come from single parent homes and grow up wonderfully rounded and sane. Maybe Brittney Spears could take a lesson from these parents. If she isn’t willing to do the job, let the daddy or someone else who will provide more than just material things nurture and raise these children.
Nicole Richie’s real parents are supposed to be dead-well I know that her real mother died when she was really young, her fathe used to go on tour with lionel richie – or was it that he played some kind of instrument – I dont know but I do remember that her father used to carry nicole on tour with Lionel and his band and the story goes that he saw this cute adorable girl and asked who daughter she was. Lionel and his first wife-I dont know her name either;she died a few years later- wanted a child of their own very much. So when Lionel saw nicole and aksed her fathe if he (Lionel ) could raise her as his chils he nicole father was more than willing to give her to Lionel- not because he didn’t love her but because he knew that Lionel and his wife would provide richie with the things that he could not give her a stable home; cause he was always on tour with Lionel he had no one to take care of nicole so most of her nicole’s child hood was spent growing up on a tour bus , nicole would have a mother to loved her; now nicole’s biological mother I have no clue what happened to her or why she wasn’t even in the picture so Im going to guess to probabilities she either walked out on nicole and her dad or she died, and third financial security. OK! About the whole pregnancy thing… I thought that was jsut the media being skeptic but if nicole is really preganant I wish her the best of luck and many blessings. Having a child can change a persons life It how we deal with the changes in or life that matters-we can decide that whatever the change is doen’t matter and ignore it or we can look at it as a negative and freak about it or look we can hav e a positive presepective on things and make the best of it. I do believe that if Nicole is willing to step up to the plate she can have this baby and raise him or her not to make the same mistakes she has in her life – that doing drugs doesn’t help solve your problems it make you forget about your problems and make you even thnk that drugs will taike away the problems in you life but that it isn’t ture. Drugs can only make your problems worse and create new ones that make you think that suicide is the only answer. Peace out Lets pray for the corruption of Hollywood Celeberties they need it big time.

My comment is… why are all you fighting who is right and who is wrong… there are so many angles to the every story. I wish for anyone who is caught and charged with DUI should see the results of such actions. When I was younger and in school we were shown film after film of accidents, and heard stories of what drinking and driving. They need to talk to family who have lost loved ones to someone who has decided that it is ok to drink and drive. I have lost 3 family members in one night to such actions, and I could tell them what it has been like for our family. It has been completely devastating. I really dont care if they are rich or poor, getting a DUI is all the same action.
As for her having a baby…As long as she is responsible and does not continue on this destructive path that her and her friends seem to be going down.. I could care less. I wish her the best, when it comes to her pregnacy. As long as she remembers that drinking is harmful to the baby, and she is responsible for another life.

Like it or not, if she is pregnant, it is her job to raise the child. Our opinions mean little. If she can support it and raise it in a proper environment so be it. Maybe she will grow up and learn from having a child. Maybe not. But ultimately who cares.
Just because shes a celebrity we think we have the right to decide weather she deserves a child or not. We don’t know her enough on a personal basis to do that. We only know what we hear in the media, and we know they all tell the full story right.
So if she has the child leave her be, our personal attacks on her will only make it harder on her hcild. Imagine growing up and reading all this crap about your parents, especially from people who don’t know her, and are judging it in *Credible sources*
I think she may be a poor example of a role model to the public, but she has a right to be human, and treated like on too. We shouldnt put so much empahsize on how celebs raise their families.
Lets put the energy into raising our families in a positive way, and help others around us in a positive way. All this celeb watching is just making us act in negative ways towards people we don’t even know
We should use the examples of the drunk driving charges etc as ways to tighten laws and make sure they don’t get treated differently in courts. But let them have a personal life.

ok first of all nicole is not a teenager she may look like one but she is at least 25 or 26 she is at the right age 2 have a baby i reallly doubt shes preggers tho prolly just pre menstral in the pics but leave her alone if she was or is anorexic these pokes at her bellly will put her into an spiral that would send her not to eat for a week or a month
Yes she is really pregnant!!!And she cares!She is going to health centers and places that will get her on a special diet.And she is really doing nothing wrong,at least she knows that she is to skinny to have this baby and is getting help!

Nicole can’t have a baby…it’s biologically impossible. She probably doesn’t weigh over 100 pounds, and you have to be at least 100 pounds with a BMI of at least 22 to menstruate, and you have to menstruate to have a baby. It’s impossible

I’m verry happy for Nicole maybe this is just what she needed to get her life in order,but I do have concern that if her weight does not increse she might not be able to have a full term pregnancy and the child will have a low birth weight. It just hurts my heart to hear all the hateful things people can say…Grow up and quit getting your pleasure from trashing someone you don’t even know!!!!
