Nicole Richie sentenced to jail

Following in the footsteps of her Simple Life co-star, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie has been sentenced to serve four days in jail for driving under the influence and given three years probation. At the time of her arrest, Richie admitted to police that she had smoked marijuana and had taken Vicodin, a prescription painkiller, though no drugs or alcohol were found on her or in the car. Nicole, who attended court on the arm of her boyfriend, Joel Madden, was told to serve her time by September 28th. She was also fined $2,048 and ordered to attend a rehab program for second time offenders. If she violates the terms and conditions of her sentence, she’ll have to serve up to a year in county jail.

It would be really great if young women with money and privilege would smarten up, look around the world, and find something WORTH getting into trouble for – like standing up for women’s human rights in their home US state, or re-routing money for glamorous hair, makeup, and clothing, to women who have not a thing to wear, eat and face violence every day of their lives.
African women in countries where the US and Canada mine gold, diamonds and coltan (for those fancy Chocolate cellphones the celebs love to tout), are raped, tortured and butchered while these vapid North American arrogant rich girls flaunt their money, their stupidity and their addictions. Those addictions show up to fill the empty spaces that constitute their lives…because they have nothing of any real value to wake up to.
Grow up and look around.

And way better than paris!!!.. she has a brain but just chooses to use to for fun and some of the funniest shit i have ever seen… JAIL for life???.. umm yeah i agree that her sentence was light but they didnt find anything on her.. since when can you be arrested for being high.. ive heard of being arrested for having it, selling it but already have smoked it??.. thats a new one!!.. sure she was drunk too but if they start arresting ppl for smoking it then the annual toronto marijuanna march is gonna be interesting.. Nicole come to canada!!!.. here we(as in the ppl) have just won a court case that states the marijuanna laws are unlawful and “unconstitutional”.. And yes i hope she makes a killing off of this.. not that it is a stunt but we all know its going to happen.. why fight it??.. cuz you see its not her thats making be this way.. its the rest of us who just have to know and have to talk about it that keeps the money rolling.. so keep talking shit.. and saying what you will about her and all the other hollywood party Betch’s.. cuz its you who is keeping them going.. there is no bad publicity people!!.. lots of love nicole!!!
4 days doesn’t seem so bad. if she does it now at the beginning of her pregnancy it’ll be a lot easier, just do it and get it over with…
