No illegal drugs found in Amy Winehouse’s system

A toxicology report was just released that reveals that Amy Winehouse did not have any illegal drugs in her system at the time of her death. Spokesman Chris Goodman said in a statement Tuesday: “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.” However, the results indicate that alcohol was present, though it hasn’t yet been determined whether that had anything to do with her death on July 23 at the age of 27. Earlier, the family claimed that Amy had stopped drinking alcohol cold turkey and they believed that may have been too big a shock on her tiny body. The statement concluded, “The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.” No mention was made as to whether prescription drugs were found in the singer’s body.
