This weekend is going to be a busy one at the box office, with a great selection of wide and limited releases opening today. The highly anticipated Noah is finally hitting the big screen, and this biblical drama boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson and Anthony Hopkins join forces in this spectacular film about the disastrous flood that forced Noah to build an unprecedented ark in order to save his family and the animal kingdom. Another film opening wide today is Jason Bateman‘s Bad Words, a hilarious story about a high school dropout who joins a group of kids in a national spelling bee. This comedy is nothing short of a Bateman classic, with its plot twists and profanity-laced humor.

3 Days in Havana opens today in Toronto and Vancouver, and this drama takes us on the road with Jack (Gil Bellows), who gets caught up in a conspiracy theory. Opening in Montreal today is Tom at the Farm, a thriller about a grief-stricken Tom (Xavier Dolan) who attends the funeral of his male lover, only to find out the family didn’t know about their relationship. Another Canadian film opening in limited release today is The Returned, a horror flick about a bunch of zombies who manage to lead normal lives thanks to regular medication until it starts to run out.
