Mary-Kate (pictured at right) and Ashley Olsen (left) are in talks to appear in the reboot of Full House.
John Stamos announced the TV show’s return on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (04.20.15), revealing it will be called Fuller House and will be comprised of 13 episodes to be shown on Netflix in 2016.
Although the multi-millionaire leaders of the fashion and Dualstar empire haven’t acted together since 2004’s New York Minute, there’s still hope that they could appear on Fuller House.
According to the show’s official release, the 28-year-old twins are currently ”in discussions regarding guest appearances” as Michelle Tanner, the shared role that kick-started their career aged just nine months.
The confirmed cast returning are Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Stephanie Tanner, Kimmie Gibbler and Stamos as Uncle Jessie.
Fuller House continues where Full House left off, albeit this time with a gender reversal.
Pregnant and recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller – played by Bure – is living with her younger sister Stephanie, life-long best friend Kimmy and Kimmy’s ”feisty” teenage daughter. All join to help raise DJ’s two boys and prepare for the birth of the new baby.
Full House originally aired from 1987 to 1995 as a comedy series following three men raising three young girls in San Francisco.
