One Direction fans will love new book

One Direction returned to Toronto for their 2013 Take Me Home tour, performing two back-to-back sold out shows. It was something I’d been looking forward to for over a year. The Air Canada Centre was full of other fans like myself eagerly waiting for the five UK boys to appear on stage. And when they finally did — deafening screams echoed through the arena. Hands were in the air, signs were waving around, and thousands of voices were singing along to the pop band’s infectious hits like One Thing and Live While We’re Young. Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn put on a show to remember and one that left many fans, including myself, with a feeling best described as “post concert depression” (PCD). You know, that day after an incredible concert experience, where you’re sitting on your bed just thinking “What now?”

Luckily for me, I came in contact with a brand new book called One Direction: Test Your Super-Fan Status, which not only helped cure my case of PCD, but helped me discover so much about the five boys I thought I knew so well. What makes this book so great is that it doesn’t simply tell me the story of the band, which is something I’ve read about so often, but it tests me with fun trivia about everything from their tattoos to tweets. There are “Fact Files” on each member, horoscopes (apparently as a Virgo, I’m most like Zayn!), and fun puzzles that are great to pass up time when bored. What really stood out to me in this book though, are the scenarios and situations they create for you to write up your own story.

What would you do if you won a contest that gave you the chance to interview One Direction? What if you ran into them at the park while their tour bus is stuck in traffic? This book gives you the opportunity to dream about the endless possibilities. I’m definitely passing this on to my “Directioner” of a sister, and recommend it to any One Direction fan. ~Naomi Leanage
