One Direction’s Zayn Malik is off the market, ladies. Zayn and Perrie Edwards, both 20, walked the red carpet for the One Direction:This Is Us world premiere in London yesterday. While at first all eyes were on the boys, Perrie stole the attention with a huge diamond ring on her left ring finger. A source told The Mirror, “It was so romantic – Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together. It’s one of the first weekends they’ve spent with each other, as they’ve both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment.” An insider told The Sun: “Zayn got down on one knee and presented Perrie with the ring. She couldn’t believe it. It’s a shock to everyone.” Perrie’s mom Debbie confirmed the news as she told the Dorset Echo newspaper: ‘It’s official. I’m over the moon. They are really in love.” The young musicians, who began dating in 2011, met on the set of X Factor where Perrie was a finalist with her band Little Mix. ~ Marriska Fernandes
