Paranoid Robert Pattinson

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson gets “paranoid” whenever new people approach him. The Remember Me star, who gained worldwide recognition in the Twilight movies, says he can’t help being suspicious whenever fans he doesn’t know approach him. He told British paper The Sun: “Being well known is a real burden. I’m less open and have noticed that I’m actually getting paranoid. If people push themselves on me I find it grueling and repulsive. If I even think someone wants to approach me I feel the need to scream, ‘What do you want of me.’ Then later I think, ‘What if this person only wanted to be nice?'” The British actor also finds it “frustrating” spending long periods of time away from home because he’s lost contact with old friends. He added: “I’ve been forced to stay in a hotel for the last three years. It’s frustrating. I got back to London and found out I had lost my whole social life. It’s tough maintaining it when you don’t speak to anyone for over a year.” Robert, 23, admitted his insecurity stems from the fact he feels he has yet to prove himself as an actor. He said: “It’s all been given so easily. What did I do to deserve this adulation? I am convinced I need to work at least 10 full years to actually earn the status I’m apparently being given. I want to grow as an actor. I don’t want to be typecast as the romantic hero. I’m not going about wishing everything was back to how it was in the past — although sometimes I do as it was so much easier.”

Many actors get depressed because they feel they do not deserve their wealth and fame. I say enjoy it, you worked hard to get here and just do what makes you happy. I thought Twilight was some stupid teeny boppy crap but when I watched it, I thought it was a well acted drama and actually started to follow the series.

Maybe you should talk to Daniel Radcliff, he’s being going through this for alot longer than you have and he might have some good advice for you.

I don’t blame him for being paranoid. Daniel Radcliffe’s been famous for longer, but Robert Pattinson creates a mob scene where ever he goes. It’s got to be hard to not be able to walk down a street without getting jumped on, but it probably won’t last forever. After they show the last Twilight movie, and he’s done some roles where he plays a creep (since he doesn’t want to be typecast as a romantic hero), girls will forget about him and move on to someone else.

Unfortunately that’s the price that must be paid in order to become a successful actor it seems. I don’t blame him for feeling almost claustrophobic when fans surround him and start screaming. He appears to be somewhat insecure for starters, so that could cause heart palpatations ! Hang in Rob and when the tide turns, take your money and run !
