Paris gives up fur

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 22, 2007 | 45 Comments

Paris HiltonHeather Mills has convinced Paris Hilton to give up fur. Speaking at the Trinity University Philosophical Society in Dublin, animal-loving Heather told the audience how she managed it. While in Los Angeles, she invited over her neighbor Paris. “Bless her, she (Paris) came round, she was brilliant because everyone else was afraid that wore fur,” said Heather. She showed Paris videos of cats being drowned and Alsatian dogs being skinned. “It turned out she (Paris) had that make of cat and she was in floods and floods of tears,” Heather claimed. “An absolutely lovely girl and actually quite bright. After she had used a box of tissues she said, ‘I will never, ever wear fur again and I will hand all my fur over tomorrow’, and she did.”

I hate being cornered like that!!! It is one thing for someone to believe….PETA, GOD, etc.,…but it is another thing when they invite people over and sit there and preach it to them!! Glad I’m not her neighbour, and she should be glad too…cause I would have to tell her off!!!!

  2. Nancy • November 22, 2007 @ 7:24 PM

And no, I don’t wear fur, and PERSONALLY, PERSONALLY….don’t agree with killing animals just to get fur to wear…..but that is my opinion and I don’t care if other people have 10 closets full of fur coats!!!

  3. Gina • November 23, 2007 @ 2:04 AM

Maybe Paris will get her coats made out of the skin from the drunk elephants she is saving! Good God, so much money; such a waste of life. I don’t wear fur either, but only because I can’t afford it. I’m still willing to let animals die for my leather shoes, purse, belts and, horror of horrors, my leather living room set. And if my cat doesn’t stop trying to sharpen her nails on the couch, I’m going to skin her to patch the holes!

  4. Adam • November 23, 2007 @ 3:36 AM

    Heather mills??!!! that HO*bag.
yah its sooo Wrong to wear fur but this hungry c*nt doesnt stop getting/asking Paul Mcrtny for more money.. who is She to talk about anything.. shes is just there to get money , and get publicity and everyone fkin hates her.. as if she really cares about animals and their fur.

  5. Ashley • November 23, 2007 @ 8:50 AM

To Nancy: If you don’t care if other people have 10 closets full of fur coats, then what does it matter if you don’t like wearing fur? It’s obvious you don’t have a real opinion on the matter. And I’m sure Paris could have up and left the house during the videos, or “told her off.” However, those videos are enthralling, which I bet you would know if you’ve ever cared to watch one, particularly since you’re so anti-fur (but wait, PERSONALLY).

And Adam, no one asked you to pick Heather’s life apart. We’re talking about her work for anti-fur and anti-cruelty causes. It’s clear that you haven’t bothered to look into what she’s done for animals before making such a blatant judgment.

You both need to become more educated before making such statements.

  6. Nancy • November 23, 2007 @ 9:12 AM

Ashley, the difference is….that I don’t want to wear fur, and if my neighbour does….that’s their choice, just don’t try to convince me to wear it, and I won’t try to convince you not to wear it! This is my opinion, and yes, it is a REAL opinion on this matter. As for Paris, if she wants to sit there…then that is her choice, but PERSONALLY, in my opinion….I wouldn’t. Now, little girl….you’re playing in the big leagues here…..because I have watched some videos on the PETA website – BEFORE this article came out. One video in particular showing a deer in a cage, men dragging it out, slicing its throat, and standing there…watching it gasp for air, and bleed to death!! So don’t question whether I care or not, go look in your own closet!!! I’m also very well educated, thank you.

What the hell is “Your comment is awaiting moderation”.

  8. Jamietwoshoes • November 23, 2007 @ 9:14 AM

Hey you guys it’s thanksgiving and I think that Paris Hilton and Heather Mills are two overated stars who get too much publicity and *I for one don’t have a fur coat and don’t expect to get one in the future and that’s because I can’t afford one and I do love animals but that’s not the point if you do something for a good cause then that’s your perogative and you don’t have to go spreading the news just for publicity which I thinks is what these two are doing but then that’s just my opinion. Happy thanksgiving yesterday America.

  9. Nancy • November 23, 2007 @ 9:25 AM

LOL. They do it to me all the time. There is something in what you typed that they are not sure is printable!! Like swears and stuff.

  10. me • November 23, 2007 @ 10:12 AM

Wow, Ashley, you sound like a really angry girl. Maybe you need to get out there and get some (fun I mean, of course!). I know exactly what Nancy was saying, I feel the same on a lot of issues, I have my opinion on things, but am open minded enough to realize that not everyone has the same opinion as me, and neither they, or I, are necessarily right or wrong. Nancy was just speaking her mind while respecting other peoples opinions. I think you could take a page out of her book!
And Adam, sounds like you may have some issues there as well… Gina, they won’t print swear words, they will modify it, sometimes that drives me crazy, because I want to say what I want to say! Nancy, keep the laughs coming!

  11. Gina • November 23, 2007 @ 10:36 AM

    Nancy,

I am only getting that message when I respond to something you posted….must be from previous bantering we’ve had.

Whatever, Ive cleaned up my act …
until you piss me off again. lol

  12. Gina • November 23, 2007 @ 10:37 AM

Since I am still awating moderation, I will repost.

Gina, I haven’t had a lot to laugh about the last few days, but I have to tell you….that last post had me laughing out loud….I think I have owned your cat’s sibling at points!

Kudos to Nancy & Gina for sticking to your guns. I would like to say that I PERSONALLY do not like the ambush approach that people use to try and intimidate people into believing that only their point of view is the correct one. What that does to me is set every hair on the back of my neck on edge. I am educated and intelligent and grew up in northern British Columbia Canada, by Alaska, and currently live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It’s all well and good to be ‘anti-fur’ when you live in L.A. but I wonder if Ashley might reconsider her stance when the temperature drops to -48 Celcius BEFORE the windchill kicks in? Just a thought from someone north of LA!

  14. Nancy • November 23, 2007 @ 1:12 PM

LOL Gina! You know how Eminem is the king of controversy? Well, we haven’t officially met, but I’m the queen!! Ha ha ha. I agree with you about skinning that cat as leather can get expensive to replace, and you may just get a nice, furry cat hat out of her too!!

  15. Mary • November 23, 2007 @ 1:31 PM

I don’t own any furs but who knows if I had the money would I? What is worse killing animals for their fur or butchering them for their meat. How many of you have gone to a restaurant and ordered a steak, pork, chicken and the list goes on. Were all guilty whether we wear the fur or kill animals for meat. We make our own choices some are better than others.

  16. Poppa John • November 23, 2007 @ 9:03 PM

That one-legged pigeon should stop spreading propaganda. One would really wonder about the mental stability of aomeone who would keep videos like that in their home. She’s just a money-grubbing attention-grabbing whore!!!END OF STORY!!!!!

  17. Anonymous • November 23, 2007 @ 9:55 PM

I wonder if she threw out her $4,000 prada aligator skin purse as well?? or her $20,000 versace travel bags?? well i doubt that and if she did we will c her wearing them soon!!

  18. Minerva • November 24, 2007 @ 1:36 AM

I’d bet the farm that the post by “Me” was written by Nancy.

  19. Gina • November 24, 2007 @ 2:18 AM

    Barbara,

I’m glad I could lighten your day somewhat! I am always amazed that people can verbalize or take a stand without seeing situations clearly. LA furs; definitely a self indulgent waste of money. Hell, if you have that much cash to burn, kill two birds with one stone – save an animal and ship your cash to Somalia. Personally, I think Paris should have watched a UNICEF video or a documentary on the ghettos of America. It might have motivated her to scrap the drunk elephants and start a save a human campaign.

    Ashley

You may want to watch a couple of these. I think you will find these to be much more “enthralling” than the PETA flicks.

  20. Arnold • November 24, 2007 @ 11:17 AM

Who gives a F of what this Heather does or does not. What Paris wears or doesn’t as in her video who cares!!! The only talent they have is they were born into cash or married in to it.

Now back to the important stuff, if Brittany shaves her head again I will just scream.

  21. Toeneebee • November 24, 2007 @ 4:03 PM

Heather Mills should worry about the real problems in the world,Bangladesh,Pakistan, child labour{I’m Canadian}the list is endless .Heather should realize there is already a misguided soul who prays at the altar of peta {+unfortunately a Canadian-every family has 1 or 2}.She should take her soon to be ill gotten gains and try to really do some good instead being another celebrity knob.

  22. Anonymous • November 24, 2007 @ 4:33 PM

Hey Paris – why don’t you just shut the hell up. To me there is nothing worse than someone who’s “seen the light” (and the error of their ways!) and jumps on the “morally correct” bandwagon to preach at the rest of us poor mortals.

NEWSFLASH – most of don’t wear fur because we find it morally repugnant, if not impractical, to do so. People of Paris Hilton’s class who wear fur do so because they listen to and swallow the advertising swill put out by the “great fashion houses” of Paris and Milan and fashion magazines.

  23. Nancy • November 25, 2007 @ 12:09 AM

Minerva: You just lost the farm! I don’t know who you are or what you are about, but I ALWAYS post under the title of Nancy. I also don’t get my kicks by complimenting myself, so take a freakin’ hike loser! And get off my farm!!!

  24. Arnold • November 25, 2007 @ 9:07 PM

Easy Minerva, Nancy and me. I think you are all the same person and you are having a para-normal battle over the conscious you.

I think your substitution of farm for presence of mind is a cry out for control over the frontal cortex. But I caution I’m not a doctor.

  25. Anonymous • November 25, 2007 @ 9:14 PM

I think you may be right!

Frontal Cortex: Part of the brain generally thought to be where higher level thinking, planning, and goal formulation take place.

  26. Anonymous • November 25, 2007 @ 10:24 PM

    Paris shaved her fur?????

  27. Nancy • November 25, 2007 @ 10:51 PM

Ok, your opinion, but really…I think you have totally lost it!! Ha ha ha ha ha!

  28. Nancy • November 26, 2007 @ 1:03 AM

Oh, oh! I feel one of my alter egos coming! LMFAO!

  29. Nancy • November 26, 2007 @ 1:33 AM

Now there is a new one. His name is Mark, a.k.a Anonymous, a.k.a Me, a.k.a Farm Boy! LMFAO.

  30. Gina • November 26, 2007 @ 2:07 AM

Not to change the topic but, have you guys won anything on Tribute?

  31. Anonymous • November 26, 2007 @ 4:41 PM

    NO

  32. Nancy • November 26, 2007 @ 6:18 PM

I actually won tickets to see Rocky Balboa!!! LOL.

  33. Gina • November 26, 2007 @ 8:28 PM

I’ve won tickets to most movies in my area, which are not many, but no big ticket items. I’ve won some pretty good things from other sites.

  34. me • November 26, 2007 @ 8:46 PM

Ok, I’ve not been on the computer in a few days, but… I’m baaaaccckkk!!! No, this is not Nancy, or Arnold, or anyone but ME!!! Sorry Minerva (is that really your name? yikes!), I don’t know anything about your farm, but if you were a betting woman, you’ve lost. My name is Linda, I don’t know why I go by “me”, I just do. I’m not Nancy, I just think she’s funny as hell, and very clear on her opinions, etc. She’s very cool, but she’s not “me”. Neither is Arnold. Or Mark!
No Gina, I’ve never won a single frickin thing.

  35. Nancy • November 27, 2007 @ 1:02 AM

me (Linda): Thank you. I have no clue who Mark is?????? Minerva moved out, and the farm is a mess. There are piles of sh*t everywhere! The old farm house is falling apart and I need some helping hands around these parts to bring in the crops. LOL.

Gina: What good things have you won? Wish I could win!

  36. Gina • November 27, 2007 @ 9:32 AM

-649 for a year twice (haven’t won anything on the tickets)
-2 three day gold passes for the grand prix Edmonton – flight not included (I live in Ontario, donated to Big Brothers out there)
-Oliveri Pasta / Sauce for a year, pretty good stuff
-basket full of retinol creams so I won’t look like a hag (will not buy the stuff once I use it up)
-weekend at any Ontario’s Finest Inns (off-season)
-One of those picture frames you put your media disk in (daughter won from cosmogirl)
-$500 cash for a recipe that I never submitted, just filled in the form with no recipe I guess since rice crispy squares is my only specialty
-some movie passes from this site

I was feeling like I had a horseshoe up my a$$ because I won everything within a month or so, but nothing for the last 2-3 months.

Oh ya, I hit the jackpot when I came across this site and started reading the postings!! Lots of sitting ducks – Very entertaining! lol

  37. Nancy • November 27, 2007 @ 2:26 PM

And you don’t even need to win a gun to shoot them ducks with!!

I live in Ontario too, and I have won, from the internet, an inflatable kayak from Johnson and Johnson; and a Bonny Stern cook book.

Off the internet I have won $500 worth of outdoor games for my kids from the bingo game on the Wonder bread and buns; $10,000 on a scratch ‘n win Bingo; and a $4000 plasma tv. So, yeah, I’ve been pretty lucky over the years….but I just want to hit it big. Just once!!! I know, I know….I do appreciate what I have already won, and it is alot more than some have won.

I have to admit though….I’ve never won any ‘haggatha cream’!!!!! LMFAO!

  38. me • November 28, 2007 @ 4:43 AM

I guess Ontario is the place to live! I live in N.S., we don’t win dick-all out here, sucks!

  39. Gina • November 28, 2007 @ 9:36 AM

    Nancy,
I’m sure many people wonder “what’s up her ass” while reading your comments. Now we all know – it’s definitely horseshoes! While your spread is no doubt expanding from sitting in front of that wonderful boob tube, mine is from eating pasta everynight!

    Me,
Actually, I think it’s worse in Quebec, they can’t enter anything. At least the contests are open to you in NS.

  40. me • November 28, 2007 @ 3:44 PM

true, at least I can spend all my spare time entering contests that I won’t win. Since I live out here in no-mans-land, what else do I have to do with my time? View the scenery, that’s about it. Those poor people in Quebec, that must be depressing. Probably why they drink so much.

  41. bugaboo • November 28, 2007 @ 6:33 PM

    Nancy-
What part of Ontario do you live in that has your times posted one hour ahead of the rest of Ontario?

  42. Gina • November 28, 2007 @ 9:48 PM

They probably won’t allow website advertising, separate the words as above, will work then 🙂

  43. Gina • November 28, 2007 @ 10:40 PM

    Anonymous

Thanks! I will keep you posted on my winnings, if any.

  44. me • November 29, 2007 @ 9:24 AM

Thanks Anonymous! Maybe us folks out here on the East Coast will have a chance!

  45. Anonymous • December 1, 2007 @ 12:17 AM

    Gina-

Seems they edited your comment as well. Hope you saw mine before it was deleted. As for my wins, my brother asked me just how much I’ve won – so, about ten years ago, I started keeping a log and to date it’s worked out to somewhere near $50-60,000 worth of stuff.

Not too shabby, and family and friends have benefited from my good fortune, so everybody seems to win. Hope anyone who saw my comment before it was deleted has some fun and good luck to you.
