Paris Hilton’s new reality show bombs – is her career over?

By Alexandra Heilbron on June 9, 2011 | 28 Comments

Finally, good news about Paris Hilton — her career may soon be over. Her last reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, had lousy ratings, and her new one on Oxygen isn’t doing any better. She had a hissy fit behind the scenes after Barbara Walters quizzed her on The View about the first episode, in which Paris complained about having to do 200 hours of community service. Walters reminded Hilton about her previous claims of wanting to do charity work and helping other female prisoners, questioning why that’s not seen on the show. Walters asked, “Why not present that side of yourself, if indeed it exists?” Burn! A TV insider told Popeater.com: “Paris’ second season on that MTV show where she found a new friend was a disaster and she hasn’t been able to sell a magazine cover since the Kardashians arrived. If the numbers remain less than the 400,000 that tuned in last week she could get pulled off the air.” A senior marketing manager confirmed the news: “This could be the last nail in the coffin. She has been replaced by Teen Moms and Snooki. She would have been better off not doing a new reality show at all than doing one that proves no one cares.”

Crossing my fingers that it’s cancelled soon and that we never have to see or hear from her again. And that goes double for the Kardashians. I’ve read about them but never seen them on anything and don’t care to.

She’ll be back…as Charlie Sheen’s coked out, sugarbaby, amateur porn goddess.

    WINNING!

I thought her 15mins of fame ended 5 hours ago?

  4. nobody important • June 9, 2011 @ 3:31 AM

I thought Paris was bad, but her media replacements (the Kardashians, and Snooki) seem worst.

They are all horrible and its time people stop wasting precious moments of life on these people. Let her crash and burn so she can realize shes had everything handed to her and not one amount of it was worked for.

Career! What career? It just makes it sound like Hilton as a career woman, Career woman when speaking about her is an oxymoron. Hey, there’s always someone else she can blow on camera.

I care so little about her, I didn’t even know she had a new reality show. Won’t be sorry when the tabloids forget who she is. She’s not worth the print.

Sorry Paris but your 15 minutes are finally up.

  11. Tayderhead • June 9, 2011 @ 2:04 PM

Don’t get your hopes up. Paris will always have some kind of career in show biz. She and her parents have too much money. She’s a spoiled brat. If she wants her own talk show for example, her daddy will surely buy her one…….or she’ll buy herself one. Money gets her whatever she wants.

it’s time we all stop giving these so called celebrities any of our time. stop publishing magazines that glorify them and stop producing reality tv shows about them. just.. stop.

  13. Kags • June 9, 2011 @ 2:24 PM

Paris just go away, you’re a greedy bitch! Ugh I hate this girl. She has all the money she needs, her fame has long since passed. Just do us and yourself a favor and go away!

  14. Wendy • June 9, 2011 @ 2:48 PM

She needs to take some lessons from sister Niki and get a life….a real life.

These people are ‘famous’ for being rich-and they were not the ones who actually worked to become rich. Just because they were the ‘fruit of a rich person’s loins’ should not make them famous. The people who give attention to these people only encourage them to have celebrity status for being rich. If they would only DO something for others with their fame/fortune they too may have a better life and not wind up with DUI s and other problems.

  16. JEFF • June 9, 2011 @ 4:59 PM

Come on guys, she is just a poor girl trying to make it in a material world. Life must be tough having billionaire parents.

  17. JROBERT • June 9, 2011 @ 8:10 PM

I thought exactly what Germain said when I read this headline.Career? What career?Did she ever have a career to begin with?If Paris Hilton`s…whatever it is she has..is on the decline then good Riddance.Paris Hilton is a just a sad story and a terrible example to young girls. She didn`t have to turn out the way that she did.She was born into a world of opportunity and privilege and could have done so much more with it.It`s not Hilton`s fault she was born into money there`s nothing a person can do about being born into money anymore than they can do anything about being born into poverty but they can do something about how ther life turns out. When Paris Hilton whines about people not taking her seriously and complains about people seeing her as a spoiled, stupid, wild, partying, immature rich brat she should stop acting like one and take a look in the mirror and blame herself for the popular perception of her.

  18. Velveta • June 9, 2011 @ 9:41 PM

Thank you God. The clock is now ticking on Snookie and all of her comrades and the Khardashians. What a poor example they are to young girls looking for role models. I trust the young girls of today look at their mothers and grandmothers are good role models and not these “fame whores for hire”. They can’t sing, act or dance. Therefore, no triple threat! So stay off the TV set and magazine covers and get a real job like the rest of us who earn everything we have with hard work, sweat and tears. Peace out!

  19. Myles • June 9, 2011 @ 9:46 PM

Her career is over? When did it start?

  20. Mullet Puncher • June 10, 2011 @ 1:09 AM

This is so funny! Kim Kardashian used to make her money cleaning out Paris’s closet, now she rules reality TV and Paris is a 30 year old hasbeen that no one wants to watch. When is Paris going to realize she is a worthless high school dropout and go away?

  21. Mel • June 10, 2011 @ 9:33 AM

I never understood who socialites became “celebrities”. I’ve never been interested in Paris and I will never watch Jersey Shore, the Khardashians, Kate plus 8 or the housewives of anything. I hope that Paris finds a real job one day and earns the distinction of “celebrity” through hard work.

  22. C-Dub • June 10, 2011 @ 11:49 AM

Career..what the, she can’t act. She cannot sing. She can’t even do porn well but at least she did a ‘job’ for that one lol. But really, having a camera follow you around while trying to make a friend (as much of a friend as one could make with socialite Hilton and in Hollywood), That is a bad statement. One thing is hopefully a certainty, her 15mins is up. And for the others who are famous for being famous, have fun now. It ends.

  23. gbh999 • June 10, 2011 @ 3:28 PM

The only career Paris Hilton ever had, was in the delusional ramblings of some wannabee media reporter. The same thing goes for the Kardasian,(gypsy whores) mafia. Everybody, except the entertainment media, sees these pigs, for what they are. Just lazy, fat assed shameless sluts, who think that putting a self directed smut film on the internet, so the perverts can get their rocks off, is the way to fame. Sure, 15 minutes worth. Now, it is time for them to go too. And while you are leaving, take that obese mess, by the name of Snooki, with your fat worthless asses, and go “smush” yourselves, to death. These are pittyful, pathetic people, to say the least. There, I’ve said what’s on my mind. I’m out!!

  24. Debbie • June 10, 2011 @ 8:37 PM

Kind of obvious to everyone, but Paris is not a socialite, she is a party lite. (well, you get what I mean). Her parents party with her and enable her. If she does charity work, she does not have to flaunt it, but because of her pathetic shenanigans, she desperately needs anything positive to help her. I have watched some of her reality shows. The first episode may be “entertaining”, but is pathetic. I caught part of “The View” interview, and her worries over the sex tape is the least of her worries. Barbara asked honest questions, and if this made her upset, she can join the babies like Trump. Her mother was crying about the tape, which was pretty pathetic. Every one who has done a sex tape has to assume that it may get around. That is reality. Deal with it and move on. In her case, that is the only thing that she will be remembered for. (which in her case is something, I guess). This is her only “ass et”. Lol. She said that she plays “dumb” for the cameras and media. Well, that’s not hot! Etc, etc, etc. Waste of “skin”.

  25. JEFF • June 11, 2011 @ 1:51 PM

Come on now she needs to make a lot of money because she spends a lot of money.

  26. Jo-Anne • June 14, 2011 @ 8:53 PM

it’s such a hoot! Always the ones you profess to “care the least about” get the lion’s share of posts! hahahahaha!

    nobel prize winners???? nadda
Paris Hilton, no talents etc. keep on chalking them up!

  27. Kristy • July 14, 2011 @ 3:06 PM
