Paris Jackson to star in feature film

Paris Jackson, the 13-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, has landed the lead role in her first feature film. The budding star, who was kept hidden from the public eye before her father’s death in 2009, will appear in Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys, a live-action/animated movie based on the first instalment of a five-book series by Dennis H. Christen. C-IT Entertainment is the production company behind the film that is described on the official site as a “modern day adventure” and “the story of how a little girl, Lundon O’Malley [played by Paris], survives being kidnapped and brainwashed by the Jellyfish Queen of the Ocean…and is able to overcome the war between the land and the sea.” Joey Fatone of pop singing group ‘N Sync and Larry King are also slated to participate in the project, providing the voices for some of the film’s animated characters.

Paris is already featured on the book’s cover, and producer Stephen Sobisky hopes her involvement in the film will be a positive experience. “She wants to be an actress…She wants to take on her dad’s legacy and do something good for the world and our product does that,” Sobisky told People.com. “Our goal is to make sure she has a fun time doing something that keeps her busy. We’re a family-driven group. For me, Paris is going to be like one of my children and I’m going to protect [her] just like I do my other three kids. We want her to enjoy this experience.” Sobisky promises that 50 per cent of the profits from the sale of the books and movie tickets will be donated to schools. Paris, who has reportedly committed to appearing in all five movies planned for the franchise, will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow to discuss the project. ~Sonja Jackson
