Paris says she’s not above the law

Paris HiltonSince most people are outraged by the Free Paris petition and the heiress’s belief that she’s not being treated fairly after breaking the law, Paris Hilton released the following statement through her attorney: “After reading the media’s coverage of my court hearing, I feel the need to correct what I believe are misperceptions about me. I absolutely realize how serious driving under the influence is. I could not live with myself if anyone was injured or killed while I was driving while impaired… I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. No one is above the law. I surely am not. I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse.” Anyone buying that?

Paris got what she deserves. She thinks that she’s further up the food chain that the rest of us mere mortals. Her statement above sounds like she’s quoting her lawyer. It’s certainly not the kind of mindless garbage that usually spills forth from her sainted lips. This woman offers nothing in the form of talent or expertise. She’s just famous for being rich, stupid and slutty.

She will be bigger and better than ever when she does her time.

Nobody is above the law – not even the rich and famous!

I actually believe her. That petition wasn’t set up by her but by her fans. She’s not stupid and though she’s had a privleged life it doesn’t mean she thinks she better then everyone else. She knows the what she did was wrong and she’s willing to take the consequences as they come. Isn’t that good enough? I mean, you’re not happy when there’s a petition wanting he to get out of going to jail and your not happy when she’s will to accept the consequences for her actions. what more do you want?

I am absolutely disgusted with and tired of hearing about Paris Hilton and her latest escapades!!! She is nothing but a spoiled and bored poor little rich girl and she sets a very bad example for young people to-day! All she seems interested is clothes, jewellery men and getting her picture plastered all over the media!!! Enough, already!!! Grow up!! Do some good in the world!! Maybe some time in jail will let her see the way the other half lives when they break the law! (Which by the way should be the same for everyone)

Driving while intoxicated – stupid; violating probation for being caught driving while intoxicated – oblivious to the fact that it’s stupid (and arrogant); Paris Hilton doing time – priceless and APPROPRIATE!

Ok Paris. “I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. No one is above the law.”
I dont know if you are just quoting your high-priced lawyers or if your really mean what you say. I think that it is the latter.
You deserve the punishment Paris. Grow the *&%# up and face the consequences of your actions. You and your parents thought that you would get your typical slap on the wrist because of your “fame” (for a porno film???) or your “money” (your inheritence once Daddy drops dead???) but face it honey, just because you go out everynight and have flashed your body to the entire world does NOT make you immune to the rules that the rest of us mortals have to follow. Who the hell do you think you are, Paris? What would you say to the parents of anyone you could have killed while on your drunken driving sprees? “Thats hot” would just not cut it, you dumb *itch.
By the sounds of it, you will not even serve your “whole 45 days” anyways sucka**. So just suck it in, grow up, and go and do your time and shut the **%& up about how unfair it is. YOU DESERVE A REALITY CHECK!!!!!
You will gain much more respect if you just take your punishment, stop your *&%#ing whining, do your time, and come out and act like a person who has perhaps learned from her mistakes. Drinking and driving is NOT a game. It’s not like you cannot afford to take a cab or have your own private limo to take you home. You should just thank your God that you havent killed anyone.
Grow up Paris. Time to face reality and become a mature, intelligent human being. Now THAT would be hot!

    This is sooo not hot!

This woman is amazing. You would think that her high-priced lawyer would at least write her a press release that didn’t sound like it was written by a lawyer! This girl can’t put that many words together correctly. The fact that she is “scared for her personal safety” if she is incarcerated is something she should have thought of before she decided to drive drunk. Nobody’s personal safety was thought of then. As others have pointed out, she could have paid for any kind of transportation (including a helicopter for crying out loud), or just purchased the club so she didn’t have to go home.

She is paid $10K + to appear at a club – amazing that someone who has given absolutely nothing of value to society is paid money (as are other supposedly “famous” folks, Victoria Gotti, her appalling sons, and any number of others) to appear at particular clubs, by the clubs as they know that these appearances will “make” their club.

She won’t end up doing 45 days – nobody does more than 2/3 and she should get less for “good time”.
I think the sadder fact is happening in the “real world”. We have 2 young men up here in Canada who have plead guilty to having killed a fellow (albeit innocent) driver while streetracing. These guys were actually on the news this evening saying that they hoped that they could be “spared prison time”. A man is DEAD! Something is really wrong here.
