Patrick Dempsey’s ultimatum for Grey’s Anatomy bosses

It might not be the end of Dr. McDreamy after all. After some confusion over whether Patrick Dempsey would be returning for another season of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, the actor is now saying he’s in talks to stay on the show for another season. But only on one condition — he gets time off to also continue his “real passion,” racing. “The biggest point for me in negotiations is getting time off to come race, so if I don’t miss races, I’ll probably stay on Grey’s Anatomy,” Dempsey said at the Daytona International Speedway where he was testing his car for the Grand-AM Series’ Rolex 24 at the end of the month. The actor has been part of the show’s main cast since it started in 2005 and has enjoyed it’s rise to the top. “The show’s doing really well. We were number one on Thursday night, so it continues to get a lot of legs,” he told reporters. “We’re certainly talking about the future.” We’ll have to wait and see if the big bosses over at ABC give in to Dempsey’s demands.

See they don’t like you are doing stuff that is so dangerous… I would think he of all people would understand that. If they let him race they make the future unsure. What if he dies, then what? This is just odd to me. I doubt the ABC will be happy with this…lol

I was thinking based on the title that he was trying to act like he’s too big a star again or pull a David Carusoe (spelling?). Asking for time to potentially get into car wrecks isn’t that bad of a negotiation.

That show sucks so bad. I can’t believe anyone watches it.
