Sir Paul McCartney has released a photography book as a tribute to his late wife Linda, called Linda McCartney: Life In Photographs. Linda became famous in the late 1960s as a photographer, taking shots of some of the biggest rock stars at the time. In 1968 she became the first female photographer to have a photo used as the cover for Rolling Stone magazine. The book contains many of his favorite photos by Linda, who passed away in 1998. Their children, Stella, Mary (also a photographer), James and Heather helped Paul choose the pictures from more than 200,000 photographs of a variety of things, including her family and celebrities such as Eric Clapton, The Doors, Steve McQueen, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. Paul, who married Linda in 1969, said: “From the early days I have very much admired her photography and being able to experience it personally only added to my feelings of admiration. In those days, it was quite unusual for a woman photographer to be working on her own in photography and, in many ways, I know she has inspired a large number of female photographers who followed in her footsteps.”

Rocker Paul McCartney took to Twitter to reveal his character in the upcoming sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, starring Johnny Depp.
That’s really sweet. He loved her so much, it’s a definite shame that she died so young — she was his soulmate, you only find one of those in a lifetime.
It’s sad to see that it went downhill for him in his love life after his soulmate passed away.
I’m looking forward to getting a copy of the book, I bet it’s amazing.
It’s really sweet that he’s honouring her memory in this way.
