Perez Hilton assaulted at MMVAs in Toronto

perez_hiltonCelebrity-blogger Perez Hilton, 36, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, went on Twitter early this morning to claim he was assaulted outside Cobra nightclub on King Street West in Toronto shortly after 3 a.m. following last night’s MuchMusic Video Awards. Hilton was a presenter at the awards. Hilton’s first tweet, at 4 a.m., read: “I’m in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please. I was assaulted by Will. I. Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.” A few moments later, he tweeted: “Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.” Later, he tweeted, “The Toronto police are here now. Thank you. Please stop calling them.”

Will.i.am recorded a video response denying the allegations, saying: “I was the one who came to him with respect and he was the one who called me a faggot outside the club. Whatever…. Come on dude, I didn’t hit you. I told you that I didn’t like the fact that you disrespected us, it’s cool to have your opinion but dude, apparently you were bleeding outside the club. I was like, next to you by a tree, waiting for my car. Instead of calling the police, you tweeted that I assaulted you. Sounds like somebody wants mad attention and is not really concerned about his health.” He also created a twitter account to say “perez hilton is a liar….”  to which Hilton responded: “There are multiple witnesses. You can deny all you want. The truth is the truth and I am telling the truth.” Hilton later released a video response in which he said that he did call 911 before he began tweeting but that they felt he wasn’t in immediate danger. He tearfully thanks the people who called people as a result of his tweets, because then the police took him more seriously. He also makes it clear that Will. I. Am’s manager was the one who assaulted him. Police have charged Molina Liborio with one count of assault.

So lets get this straight this guy gets beaten up and instead of calling the police he twitters for all his lonely fans to start calling Toronto police…great I live in Toronto, I can’t imagine how much tax payers dollars were wasted with many 911 calls and locall police calls, how many real 911 calls went unanswered bc of this Douche…seems to me if you just got a beat down, last thing u would do is log on to the net by mobil phone, then start asking other ppl to call for u instead of just doing it your self.

P.S. who fallows twitter anyway, why would I care to read about a 2 phrase update on your life? I just got up..

8:00am aaww feeling tired, need a cup of joe

8:17am aahhh coffee good, going to shower now

8:37am shower done, out the door for a day of work….

Tweeting is a social epidemic and is going to be the death of one on one social interaction. Who the hell tweets that they need someone to call the damn police because they were assualted????? This is a good example at how pathetic society has become to rely on a micro blog site for assistence. Im sure if Mr. Hilten simply picked up his phone and called the police without tweeting for attention it would have sufficed.

Tweeting is for losers, no offence. Find a life and enjoy reality!!!

    Peace

Good! The little loud mouth F deserves it! What do you expect dip shit!? Going around insulting people you don’t even know. Why doesn’t someone dig up all your dark little sercrets.

  8. Nancy • June 23, 2009 @ 10:31 AM

Totally agree, K!! I guess they ‘BOOM BOOM POWed’ his @$$, eh?!!!! Did you see him bawling his eyes out? Like….grow a sack!

  9. Nancy • June 23, 2009 @ 6:49 PM

Here’s an idea for a poll…did Perez Hilton deserve a thumping or not?

  10. anon • June 23, 2009 @ 6:53 PM

When he is injuried, his first thought is to twitter? If it is serious, why didn’t he call the police himself instead of waiting for someone on twitter to phone? Is this guy stupid or what? Maybe he is just trying to get some more media attention. The guy is known for his nastiness. Just listen to the comments he made about Miss California simply because she has a different view of marriage than his own.

  11. MD • June 24, 2009 @ 1:18 AM

Yes, Perez may be a tool sometimes, but there was NO NEED for the Black Eye Peas’ manager to resort to violence. Just because you don’t like someone doesn’t give you the right to hit them.

  12. demigod • June 24, 2009 @ 3:46 AM

    What a douche.

  13. lily • June 24, 2009 @ 6:18 AM

Absolutly can’t stand the guy and beleive he’d sell his own mother to buy more publicity.

  14. Nancy • June 24, 2009 @ 12:47 PM

MD: Oh the consequences of opening ones mouth and slandering another!

  15. Nancy • June 24, 2009 @ 12:49 PM

Just like when Kelly Osbourne slapped that reporter in the face…I bet when she’s anywhere near Kelly now, she keeps her big trap shut! LOL.

  16. Marion • June 24, 2009 @ 2:28 PM

Exactly, Nancy. He’ll be sure to watch his big trap now. How stupid was it of him to go all crazy in that guy’s face? He must have realized he was way over the line. It’s not right to use violence, but it’s also not right to be verbally abusive.

  17. pete • June 24, 2009 @ 2:59 PM

That’s right Nancy and Marion. Just like Rihanna will now keep her trap shut. She learned her lesson, just like Perez.

How can you even PRETEND there is a difference between these cases? The nature of a relationship neither condones nor excuses physical violence.

  18. Marion • June 24, 2009 @ 6:29 PM

Were you in the car with them Pete? Did you hear her call him all kinds of names? I don’t recall any news story saying that she was in his face calling him anything. There’s a video that shows Perez screaming at that guy, calling him names. As far as I’ve heard, the story goes that Brown received a booty call text message and that started the argument. And he didn’t just hit her once. He went ape shit all over her. So how can you PRETEND there’s any similarity between these cases? And furthermore Pete, what relevance does your comment have to anything Nancy and I said? I said it’s not right to use violence. Unless you’re disagreeing, why are you even mentioning my name? The fact that you’re comparing these two cases makes me wonder if you’re some kind of weird sicko, how did your brain jump to Rihanna when reading this story? And yeah, if she was being verbally abusive in his face and the result was that she got beaten, then I’m sure she will think twice about being verbally abusive with anyone else ever again because you never know if who you’re calling names is violent. But I never heard that that’s what happened.

  19. Nancy • June 24, 2009 @ 8:07 PM

Well that is your opinion, pete. I have to say though, I really don’t care when someone disagrees with me, really…but YOU seem to be one of those people who sees the name Nancy on a comment saying “white”, so you have to come in and say “black”. Capiche?

ie: check out the Ed McMahon article. Why is it that everytime I say something…you have something to say about it? Can’t you think for yourself? You can’t form your own opinion, you just say the opposite of what Nancy said?

  20. demigod • June 25, 2009 @ 3:18 AM

Pete has a point. Marion and Nancy..your double standards are obvious.
What would you all be saying if he was a she in this case?

  21. Nancy • June 25, 2009 @ 8:25 AM

Well…as far as I know…Will.i.am nor the BEP’s manager ever claimed to “love” Perez Hilton as Chris Brown did with Rihanna. Rihanna’s beating was far worse and for a different reason. If Chris Brown wanted to be with other women he shouldn’t have been dating Rihanna then. Again…as far as I know, Will.i.am nor the BEP’s manager were in a relationship with this person. Basically what I am saying, is that when you choose to be in a relationship with a person, you either choose to put up with their sh!t or you leave…you don’t have to stay. But when you run into someone at a bar or whatever who has been running around THE WORLD blabbing BS about you, you have zero feelings for this person, there is no unspoken commitment…well, one right in the mouth wouldn’t hurt. One though…NOT a beating.

  22. Nancy • June 25, 2009 @ 8:28 AM

Oh, and demigod…..he basically IS a “she”! LMAO.

  23. demigod • June 25, 2009 @ 1:57 PM

    Nancy on June 25, 2009 8:25 AM

What a bs answer. Nancy, this is you in a nutshell.. man hitting man=OK, woman hitting woman=OK,woman hitting man=OK, man hitting woman=WRONG!

  24. Moviefan • June 25, 2009 @ 2:43 PM

I don’t see where Nancy said anything of the sort, demigod. She never used a gender when talking about violence, she used the word “you.” But I’ve noticed that this is a hot topic for you. I don’t think it’s right for anyone to hit another person, no matter what gender either are, but with you this seems to hit a sore spot – are you a very small, weak man who’s been hit by a large, strong woman at some point in your life? Most women are smaller than most men, and being hit by a woman would make most men laugh, it’s equivalent to being hit by a small child. Women usually have small fists, and not much power behind them. There are exceptions, certainly, but not enough to warrant battered men’s shelters, for example. Men are stronger, and bigger, in most cases. So I’m wondering if this is a very personal matter for you.

  25. Nancy • June 25, 2009 @ 4:36 PM

“a bs answer” huh, demigod? Well here…if it’ll make ya feel any better….women in “relationships” with men, who claim to love them, etc., shouldn’t beat the MAN they claim to love either!

See what I mean people….some people just don’t shut the F@*& up until they hear WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR! I have never said that it is okay for man to hit man, woman to hit woman or woman to hit man and not okay for man to hit woman!

  26. demigod • June 26, 2009 @ 2:56 AM

    Moviefan on June 25, 2009 2:43 PM

How about minding your own business. This is an old argument that goes way back that you know nothing about, so stay out of it pansy.

  27. demigod • June 26, 2009 @ 3:09 AM

    Nancy on June 25, 2009 4:36 PM

Did you not condone/justify Kelly Osbourne in hitting that reporter? Did you not state Perez deserved this beating? Yet when Chris beat Rihanna you have zero tolerance, no excuses blah blah blah.
Like pete said, the nature of the relationship neither condones nor excuses physical violence. You are convoluting the issue of physical violence. No, Gay.I.Am nor his homey manager are not ‘in love’ with Perez. Geez. Yea, that makes all the diff.
And you haven’t answered the question..if Perez was female, would you condone this beating?

  28. Nancy • June 26, 2009 @ 6:03 PM

Like I said demigod, I don’t condone ANY “beating”. And yes, it does make all the difference when you hit someone you say you love or someone you despise…all the difference in the world. Rihanna flipped out on Chris because he was cheating on her…so he “beat” her. Not one hit, not two…a “beating”. If he didn’t want to be with her, he should have left. But, when someone runs around spreading BS stories about you and then you are at an establishment and that person comes in and a confrontation starts, well…one should be enough to get your message across. My point is that it doesn’t matter to me, male or female, when you claim to love/care for someone you don’t beat them…especially not when it’s the truth being spoken but, when someone who is a complete nobody to you starts spreading a bunch of crap that is NOT true and then gets in your face when you confront them, one don’t hurt…one is just a warning of what can come if they don’t stop the BS!

  29. demigod • June 26, 2009 @ 7:20 PM

    Whatever..

So now Chris was cheating? And how did you come to this conclusion all of a sudden? Because he got a booty text msg?

  30. Nancy • June 26, 2009 @ 8:13 PM

That’s what it’s called yes…let’s see what you can pick apart in those 5 words. 😉

And…why do you wait so long to confront me on my saying that Chris was cheating on Rihanna? Huh? I mean, I said it back in February when the incident first happened, so why now? Oh, that’s right….because you can’t trap me into saying what you want me to say!!!

  31. demigod • June 26, 2009 @ 11:11 PM

You’re just assuming. It was a text msg, didn’t mean he cheated. But go ahead and fill in the pieces to complete YOUR picture. You said the same thing about Mel Gibson cheating when he wasn’t.
Excuse me for not pouring over every little detail of your countless posts in a more timely fashion. I frequently tune out when you rant.
Trap you? I don’t want you saying anything! 🙂

  32. Nancy • June 27, 2009 @ 1:49 PM

“But go ahead and fill in the pieces to complete YOUR picture. You said the same thing about Mel Gibson cheating when he wasn’t.”

Actually demigod, it’s my “opinion” not my “picture”. Why is that so hard for you to understand? You have your opinion and I have mine…what part don’t you get? Man, you are dumber than a box of rocks! And how do you know that Mel Gibson wasn’t cheating? Were you there anymore than I was? How do you know what I, Robin Gibson or anyone else considers “cheating”? It has been reported…remember that now…NOT FACT but, it has “been reported” over the years that Mel has been out in bars getting totally ripped, with ladies hanging off of him, him giving them rides home, etc., etc., etc. Maybe his wife considers that cheating. She definately knows more of the story and more of the truth than what the media is getting and selling to us. So, I believe Chris Brown and Mel Gibson are both cheaters…you don’t. There’s a pattern here demigod, my opinion…your opinion. Just give yours and f-ing be quiet! 😉

  33. demigod • June 27, 2009 @ 6:56 PM

I don’t speak your language. I don’t speak gibberish. Yea, I’m dumb..this coming from someone with a phd in DUH.

  34. moondog • June 28, 2009 @ 7:40 AM

    he was cheatin
