Sharkwater (2006)

This multi award-winning 2006 film by Rob Stewart explores the importance of nature’s apex predators and the need to stop the practice of shark finning. Sharkwater opened people’s eyes to this issue and was the impetus for many countries worldwide to change their laws regarding the sale of shark fins. Rob dedicated his life to this cause, saying: “Conservation is the preservation of human life on earth.  And that, above all else is worth fighting for.” The inspiring film also aims to help demystify years of misrepresentation in pop culture thanks to factually inaccurate fiction films like Jaws.
