Anissa Jones

Anissa Jones, forever known as Uncle Bill's niece Buffy on the 1960's TV show Family Affair, died August 28, 1976 of a drug overdose. She was eight years old when the TV series first aired and it had a successful five-year run. When it was cancelled, Anissa, pictured here with Johnny Whitaker, who played her fraternal twin on the series, was initially happy to return to a normal school girl routine. Unfortunately, she became a party girl instead. The coroner found barbiturates, phencyclidine, cocaine and methaqualone in her system. She was just 18.
