Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) broke Major League Baseball's color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. While he faced racial discrimination from both his fellow players and the public, Robinson went on to play in six World Series. His success within the MLB helped bring an end to racial segregation in the sport and brought the fight for equality to the forefront of American life.
