Alpha – Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

Luc Besson's 2017 passion project may have been a box office flop when it was released, but the film was a success in its own right for bringing to life its city of a thousand planets. The space station-turned-colony city of Alpha is easily the film's most attractive quality and Besson does an amazing job of bringing the city to life. From the film's opening music montage of the city gradually growing larger, to the visual exploration of its various sections throughout the movie, there is so much to take in.
