With her fringe bangs, doe eyes and ukulele always at the ready, Deschanel is the perfect (and popular) choice to play the offbeat, unconventional love interest. She was a bit more serious in the Christmas flick Elf, but she was also blonde, so maybe it’s the hair that makes the eccentric girl.
