Is there truly nothing Meryl Streep can’t do? To prepare for her role as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, she spent months watching old broadcasts of Thatcher to learn her mannerisms and speech, and also spoke with those who were closest to the British politician in order to perfect her portrayal. Although the movie received mixed reviews, Streep won her third Academy Award for her tremendous performance as the cool, no-nonsense Prime Minister.
