Michelle Williams – Marilyn Monroe

According to Michelle Williams, she was born to portray Marilyn Monroe, and luckily got the chance to play arguably the most famous female pop culture icon of all time in My Week with Marilyn. In preparation for the role, she practiced her vocal cadences, learned to walk in Marilyn’s signature high heels and even perfected the actress’ signature “wiggle” as she walked. After all was said and done, Williams came away from the film with plenty of award nominations and a Golden Globe win for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical—the same award Marilyn won in 1960 for the movie Some Like it Hot.
