Phoebe Cates

Actress Phoebe Cates was pretty huge in the 1980s after starring in the films Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Gremlins. But in 1994, she stepped out of the spotlight and quit acting to focus on raising her children. Although she made an appearance in the 2001 independent film The Anniversary Party, she still hasn’t made any sort of comeback effort and reportedly prefers her quiet family life over the life of a Hollywood actress.
