Adam Driver (2 Oscar Nominations)

After making the jump from TV to film, Adam Driver quickly cemented himself as one of the best young actors currently working in Hollywood. Driver has consistently delivered strong performances over his career, which eventually culminated in his first Oscar nomination over the last two years. Unfortunately for Driver, he ran into Mahershala Ali in 2019, whose supporting performance in Green Book deservedly beat out Driver’s strong turn in BlacKkKlansman. And at the most recent Oscars, his powerful performance in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story just wasn’t enough to beat out Joaquin Phoenix’s brilliant take as the clown prince of crime in Todd Phillips’ Joker. However, if the last few years have told audiences anything, it’s that Adam Driver will be a force on the big screen for years to come.
