Scarlett Johansson (2 Oscar Nominations)

This choice is a bit of a cheat since both of Scarlett Johansson’s nominations came at this year’s Oscars. That said, Johansson has had a number of roles over the years that deserved recognition. Her performances in Her, Don Jon, and Lost in Translation likely should have been recognized, but her two most recent ones are well deserved in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story and Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit. As those who watched this year’s Oscars know, Johansson lost out in Best Actress to Judy’s Renée Zellweger and Best Supporting Actress to her Marriage Story co-star Laura Dern.
