Christian Bale

During filming of the 2015 film Knight of Cups, Christian Bale's co-star Natalie Portman almost walked off the set. Bale considers himself a method actor, but he comes across as arrogant and intense, especially when he wants scenes to be shot over and over, disregarding anyone’s acting abilities other than his own. In 2014, The Tonight Show producer Dave Berg published a memoir and referred to Christian Bale as a “surly dick” who cancelled his appearance after taking offense at three pre-appearance questions: Where did you grow up, how large is your family and what was your first acting job? And then there's his infamous tirade on the set of Terminator Salvation in 2009. The director of photography walked on to the set and ruined a scene. Bale went ballistic and threatened to quit. Film executives actually sent the audio recording of the incident to their insurance company in case he did actually quit, and the tape was eventually leaked to the media.
