Johnny Knoxville – Skiptrace (2016)

Since returning to mostly making Chinese films (with the odd exception here and there), action icon Jackie Chan has also seen fit to bring some Hollywood talent to the East. Having previously mentioned John Cusack and Adrien Brody for Dragon Blade, Jackie has also worked with Oliver Platt in Chinese Zodiac in 2012 and more recently Johnny Knoxville in the action comedy Skiptrace. This buddy cop pairing sees Chan’s detective team up with Knoxville’s American gambler against a Chinese criminal in this film helmed by veteran action director Renny Harlin. It’s a charming comedy, if ridiculous, but for a Renny Harlin film starring Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville, it works.
