Ron Perlman – The City of Lost Children (1995)

Long before he became a staple in Guillermo del Toro and genre films, character actor Ron Perlman was a TV actor best known for his starring role opposite Linda Hamilton on the series Beauty and the Beast. With only minor roles available for him in the U.S., he landed one of his first starring movie roles in the French sci-fi/fantasy film La cité des enfants perdus or The City of Lost Children. Perlman stars as the carnival strongman One, whose little brother is kidnapped by a malicious scientist named Krank who takes children for the purpose of stealing their dreams in order to extend his life.
