Lynn Holly Johnson

The only figure skater on our list, Lynn Holly Johnson won silver in the novice level at the 1974 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Three years later, she gave up competitive skating and joined the travelling Ice Capades show. When she began her acting career, she stuck to what she knew. Holly made her acting debut in Ice Castles, a romantic drama about a young woman whose dreams of becoming a world famous figure skater are shattered after a terrible accident. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year in a Motion Picture – Female. She quit acting in 1996 to focus on her family, but in 2007 returned to community theatre.
