I’m Thinking of Ending Things (Netflix)

Eclectic and offbeat writer/director Charlie Kaufman made his return in 2020 after a five-year break with his third feature directorial effort in I'm Thinking of Ending Things. The psychological drama/thriller is an adaptation of the Iain Reid novel of the same name and follows a young woman named Lucy (Jessie Buckley) and her new boyfriend Jake (Jesse Plemons) as they drive up to a secluded farm owned by his parents. There she begins to question everything she knows about herself and Jake as she contemplates breaking off the relationship. As straightforward as the plot and title seems, there's always more to it than meets the eye with a Kaufman film and like his previous efforts, he's able to bring out solid performances from his two leads.
