Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) / Captain America: Civil War (2016)

The Russo Brothers make another appearance on this list with their two Captain America films. Taking over from Joe Johnston for the sequels, the duo brought modern sensibilities to Cap’s two sequels. With The Winter Soldier, they put on display the kind of kinetic feel to their action that would help define their look in the MCU, and with Civil War the Russos showed audiences around the world that they were very much up to the task of handling the massive ensemble of talent that would be on hand for Marvel’s ambitious conclusion to their Infinity Saga.
