Skyfall (2012)

Arguably the best Bond film of the Daniel Craig era, Sam Mendes’ first foray into the world of 007 was quite the first impression. Though he would fail to capture the same magic with Spectre, Skyfall offers one of the more grounded and back-to-basics takes on 007. Light on gadgets and relying more on Bond’s skill, the end product is one of the more engaging and intimate Bond films in its entire history. A particular highlight is the opening train fight sequence, which was filmed almost entirely practical (without CGI).
